Introduction
Rebrand Institute of Tech Equity ("RITE," "we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, communicate with us, or participate in our programs.
SMS and Mobile Information
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data collected by RITE are used solely to deliver operational messages to authorized staff and program participants. No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party. Information may be shared only with subprocessors and service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messaging service, such as our SMS gateway provider, and such providers are prohibited from using the information for any other purpose.
What We Collect
- Name
- Mobile phone number
- Role (staff, contractor, volunteer, or enrolled program participant)
- Consent record, including the date, time, and method of opt-in
Why We Collect It
Mobile information is collected only to send operational and program alerts directly related to a person's job duties or to the programs in which they are enrolled. We do not use mobile information for advertising or promotional campaigns.
How Consent Is Obtained
Consent is obtained through staff and contractor onboarding acknowledgment forms, and through program registration forms for enrolled participants. Each form clearly states the purpose of messaging and requires an affirmative opt-in. Consent to receive messages is never a condition of employment, enrollment, or receipt of any RITE service.
Retention and Deletion
Mobile numbers and consent records are retained for the duration of the individual's affiliation with RITE and for up to twenty-four (24) months afterward to document consent history, unless a longer period is required by law. To request deletion of your mobile number and consent record, email kay@rebrandtech.org. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Opt-Out and Help
You may reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for support, or email kay@rebrandtech.org. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
